Studio Production Director - Video Games

Iron Galaxy Studios, an established independent video game developer best known for the Killer Instinct series, is looking for a talented Studio Production Director. If you’re interested in an environment to showcase your talents across multiple exciting projects, this job is for you.

The Studio Production Director will bring expert-level knowledge in video game production with strong producer or department head experience. The ideal candidate will possess previous production experience in the gaming or creative industry/environment. This is the perfect opportunity to direct and coordinate the development of all Iron Galaxy Studios ongoing projects.

The Studio Production Director will report directly to and work closely with the Chief Product Officer regarding all ongoing projects.

Position responsibilities include:

Production

  • Directs and coordinates the development of all on-going studio projects, with a focus on work for hire titles 
  • Develops strategies to keep projects efficient and on budget with high quality standards
  • Facilitates communications between leadership and teams 
  • Work closely with Leads and Manager to ensure Project Goals are well-defined and achievable
  • Report project statuses and plans to CPO
  • Ensure teams hit established goals
  • Brainstorm and implement process improvements and standards
  • Oversee a diverse array of projects with strong emphasis on multi-tasking and context switching

Leadership

  • Develop production team and define a culture of growth and achievement
  • Provide objective feedback and mentor reports
  • Conduct timely performance reviews in accordance with company performance program
  • Manage multiple projects with the ability to adapt quickly
  • Clearly communicate effectively across all levels of the company regarding a wide range of topics, e.g. business, staffing, technical, and creative.

Team Management

  • Ability to manage and work with various personality types as well as manage large complex organizational and executional issues
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to mitigate risks 
  • Foster an environment that creates a positive team experience and high morale

Requirements 

  • At least 6 years of experience in the games industry as a producer or department director
  • Previous Production experience in a creative industry/environment
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented with great time management skills
  • Strong decision-making capabilities with a demonstrable ability to think outside the box
  • Strong mediation and problem-solving skills
  • Action oriented self-starter with a record of clear follow-through
  • Possess a strong innate ability to prioritize
